The McGraw-Hill Companies, a leading global information services provider, has an excellent opportunity for a recruiter to serve our diverse recruitment needs in the Business Information Group.

 



Responsibilities: Source, identify and recruit candidates for employment consideration at McGraw-Hill.Utilize the recruitment database to maintain and track relationships with high potential candidates for future opportunities. Implement and utilize cost-effective recruitment strategies to attract highly qualified and diverse candidates. Partner with business unit leaders and HR generalists to assess recruitment trends and identify key issues. Identify traditional and non-traditional recruitment sources. Manage the process of selection and placement of qualified candidates. Promote and ensure diverse applicants are in the process  Coach managers on recruitment tools (e.g. Taleo). Coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers and candidates Provide a high-level of client service. Create job descriptions Extend offers and negotiate with applicants Ensure on-boarding process is complete (background checks, offer letters, new hire paperwork, etc) Ensure ADA and EEO compliance

Bachelors with 4-6 years recruitment and/or staffing experience in a professional fast paced environment.Ability to handle customer relationship management, provide strong customer consultative skills and work effectively in a large team environment.Knowledge of state and federal employment laws (EEO, ADA, etc.), corporate recruitment processes, and recruitment strategies are necessary.Ability to interact with all levels of staff.Proven organizational skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.Must be highly motivated, self directed and able to work with a high sense of urgency.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.  In addition, teamwork skills are a must along with the ability to grasp new technologies.Must be proficient at web-based research and possess strong PC skills.Must be able to think and operate strategically.Ability to travel approximately 10%Experience with applicant tracking systems (Taleo) preferred.
