Sr. HR Manager (PGH-9123)

Job Summary and Description:
Seagate Technology is looking for senior HR professional to lead the HR function at the company?s state of the art research center in Pittsburgh, PA.  This position requires a highly motivated and experienced HR professional with a hands-on style to provide leadership, guidance and consultation to Management in all HR areas including organizational development, employee relations, strategic planning, employee development, compensation and staffing.  This position will work closely with all levels of the organization ensuring a full range of HR solutions and services are provided to the business and that full compliance with all applicable laws is maintained. This highly visible, position will report into the Director of HR for the Longmont, Colorado Drive Development Center and will be responsible for an employee population of  ~200.  This position is the sole HR professional at the site and the successful candidate must be skilled at developing effective relationships and obtaining the required support from offsite professionals in the Staffing, HRIT, Learning & Leadership, and Compensation & Benefits groups.


Experience Required:
This senior level position requires at least 12 years of Human Resources experience as a Business Partner with at least 5 years experience in a management capacity.  The successful candidate will be a strong generalist, well versed in HR best practices who has led the Human Resources function in a small company or a significant division or group in a mid to large size company in a highly technical engineering environment such as in the semiconductor or data storage industry. Experience in dynamic, fast-paced companies with highly educated and multicultural workforces is preferred. Must have strong mentoring and coaching skills, and business acumen coupled with political savvy and proven ability to champion HR initiatives both at all levels in the organization.


Education:
BA/BS degree in a related field is required, Masters degree is preferred.
