The Sr. OA Analyst in Corporate OA provides HR support and expertise to the Corporate Centers. This includes guiding managers worldwide in employment selection recommendations and decisions. It also includes researching and enforcing required human resource policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the organization.
This role also ensures that there is a linkage between the Global Organizational Advancement - Corporate policies and practices and the business units. In addition, this role works to proactively identify needs throughout the Corporate Centers where the Organizational Advancement team may be able to assist in solutions.
STAFFING, RECRUITMENT - All staffing issues that include and are not limited to recruitment and selection. This includes: job offers, job quotes, promotion quotes, posting of job positions internal and external to the company, testing of candidates, recruitment, providing managers with guidance in selection, appraisal and discipline, and various other HR activities.
COMMUNICATIONS- Lead the communication that guides managers through recruitment, staffing, TMP, compensation administration, as well as any other relevant information OA chooses to provide to their customers.
CORPORATE CENTER SUPPORT - Working with their assigned corporate center to forecast employment needs ranging from selection to promotions, identifying "business builders", assisting with all HR/OD needs from this group which would include assistance with team building and training; assistance with HR/OD issues that span the company.
HR POLICY and COMPLIANCE— Interpret and communicate personnel policies and procedure information to managers, counsel managers on addressing employee relations and performance issues while ensuring compliance with Timken's policies, research the integration of new associates/companies with The Timken Company in the event of an acquisition/merger.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING and NETWORKING— Maintain liaison with employment agencies, universities, private/public sector employers and other resource contacts regarding the filling of vacancies, collection of data, employee relations/development issues and training needs.
GENERALIST SUPPORT— Provide OD/HR services to support the needs of the corporate centers in achieving business objectives: these services includie, HR transaction support, TMP, OD activities such as team building, facilitation, employee/manager coaching.
The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills for recommending and guiding managers in hr related activities; strong internet and research skills to consistently stay ahead the industry standard in HR functions and in the prediction of meeting managers' business needs, excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with candidates and managers at all levels, as well as outside contacts such as employment firms.
Bachelor's in Management, HR, Communications or Marketing
MBA a plus
