We are seeking an experienced Sr. Manager of Compensation and Benefits to lead the design, development, and management of all compensation and benefits programs. This individual will lead the management and delivery of "Comp & Benefits" solutions to support the business objectives of this global company that is headquartered in San Ramon, CA and boasts over $400 million in revenue. The role requires a strategic thinker who can debate courses of action with all levels of management and quickly ascertain the needs of the organization. This is an individual contributor, hands-on position that reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
oResponsible for evaluating, developing and administering all compensation policies and programs including the annual focal program, annual merit budgets, salary range structures, job code structures, variable incentive pay plans, equity compensation and executive compensation.
oAnalyze and recommend solutions for benefit programs to ensure legal compliance, cost effectiveness, equity and competitive positioning.
oManage all aspects of the employee benefits programs which include defined contribution retirement plans, medical, dental, LTD, STD, term life and AD&D insurance plans.
oParticipate in surveys, analyze market information in light of company philosophy, goals and financial constraints; coordinate with broker to recommend plan design changes to ensure company maintains competitive, cost effective programs; manage vendor service.
oProvide ongoing administration: manage outsourced help desk and vendors; calculate, reconcile and track premiums/plan expenses; interact with providers as needed; deliver employee communication regarding benefits; oversee audits; manage annual open enrollment.
oImplements new plans and changes by preparing announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees. Conducts employee meetings and coordinates employee enrollment. Revises and reissues all communication materials on an as-needed basis driven by plan changes and regulatory requirements. Advises and counsels management and employees on existing benefits.
oAssures company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act. Supervises preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies.
oMaintain a working knowledge of legislation affecting compensation and benefits programs and best practices globally and be proactive in amending policies and programs.
oEngage and partner with HR colleagues, Finance, line managers, and executive leadership to assess organizational needs.
oProvide day-to-day consultation to HR colleagues and managers on compensation issues including job classifications and leveling, new hire offers, transfers, and internal and external equity concerns.
oResearch and analyze key factors affecting compensation trends, turnover, retention, geographic differentials, and incentive pay, etc.
oDrive and oversee the analysis of Compensation and Benefits survey data internally and externally. This includes hands-on management of several outside consultants and vendors.
oEffectively balance resources and personnel worldwide in order to meet the changing needs of our internal customers as well as newly acquired entities.
oDevelop an effective communication strategy and training materials to ensure that our compensation and benefit programs are fully understood and appropriately valued by employees and managers. You may also administer 401K Plan.
oBachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
oCertified compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred.
o7-10 years experience in progressive Compensation and/or Benefits roles, coupled with professional Human Resources management experience.
oHighly proficient with spreadsheets, databases, and HRIS management.
oStrong analytical, consulting and influencing skills with the ability to interface with all levels within an organization.
oDemonstrated effectiveness in successfully integrating acquired employees and companies.
oThe ability to collaborate across disciplines, cultures and levels within an organization.
oProven ability in creating and delivering presentations to senior executives.
