Staffing Consultant

Staffing Consultant     This position will drive staffing strategy and own recruiting for a range of complex/critical positions within the Server & Tools business unit. This position will drive staffing programs to support our technical and/or marketing organizations. This position will work with internal and external partners such as central sourcing, agencies, research companies, as well as handle direct sourcing within budget guidelines to meet the staffing plan for the group. Demonstrated success in executive relationship management is required.

 

Responsibilities Include:
Own and drive the staffing process and strategy for your client set.
Partner with clients to drive staffing solutions that meet the needs of the business.
Interview, offer, negotiate and close candidates for assigned requisitions.
Educate/train hiring managers and client management on agreed to processes and responsibilities.
Work with the hiring managers and HR generalist as needed, to agree on specifics for the position, leveling/compensation strategy.
Engaging key staffing and business partners in order to understand the needs of this unique client as well as attain internal expertise of the profile and map to external marketplace.
Develop, drive and execute comprehensive search strategies to recruit senior and niche candidates in limited candidate spaces-- including driving a business plan which is geared at building key competitive research, industry profile development, networking and direct sourcing.
Network and maintain relationships with key candidate communities for short and/or long term opportunities.
Employ strategic consulting and influencing skills in order to provide staffing expertise and recommendations.
Provide follow up feedback to external candidates on results of interview.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of top MS business/technical and policy initiatives and competitors.

 

Qualifications Include:
BA/BS degree in business, communications, human resources or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience: 6+ years of related Recruiting experience.
Deep understanding of talent acquisition and its relationship to talent management internally.
Effective strategic thinking, executive search skills, problem solving, cross group collaboration, and oral/written/persuasive communication skills are necessary.
Passion for and significant experience with identifying, screening, interviewing and closing technical and/or technical marketing candidates.
Proven ability to act in a leadership role.
Excellent negotiation skills and agency relationship management.
Active cultivation and participation in a positive, teamwork environment.
Ability to understand, articulate and sell Microsoft culture and business initiatives.
Track record of innovation and creativity.
Ability to deliver results with little supervision, and to effectively manage multiple projects and candidates.
Ability to meet standard measurements of success for staffing such as, annual hiring plan, diversity goals, client satisfaction, and cost/time to hire standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
