Trainer - Curriculm Design
PURPOSE:
Design and deliver sales training programs that are aligned with the sales training strategy and curriculum (including e-learning) as it relates to the technical, product and disease state knowledge of all field sales. Ensure learning is also applied after all training programs and that appropriate metrics are in place to drive superior business and sales results. Assist Associate Director in the development and implementation of high quality programs, processes and tools, which meet both current and future business needs.
Coordination/Design and Delivery
?Coordinates and delivers curriculum and programs within the areas of market/product and disease state for field sales (includes face to face training and e-learning).
?Designs (with input from Associate Director), coordinates, and delivers new hire on-boarding.
?Works with BMT to develop and maintain a developmental rotation program for field sales employees.
?Works with Associate Director to develop an annual training calendar based on training strategy and department needs.
?Regularly pays field visits to ensure in-depth understanding of market, individual/local needs and training is aligned with market/customer needs.
?Explores external ?best practices? and focus on continuous improvement of all relevant training.
?Based on strategy, works with Associate Director on development and design of programs, tools and processes to ensure alignment.
?Provides input into the overall curriculum design strategy.
?Coordinates & tracks execution of all stated programs to field sales.
?Develop and measure effectiveness and impact of training curriculum by designing key assessments and metrics to maximize achievement of sales objectives in coordination with Manager, Training Metrics (HR).
?Identify appropriate implementation methods and materials (i.e. tapes, CD ROMs, platform, lectures, exercises, role plays) to maximize learning.
?Work with vendors to ensure integration of high quality vendor products with sales training?s current curriculum.
?Update training materials and objectives as needed.
?Apply adult learning and instructional design principles when developing training programs and materials.
?Monitor quality control of content, class handouts, evaluation forms, exercises etc.
?Track student information, conduct course debriefing sessions, and develop/maintain metrics such as the number of classes conducted, number of employees trained per quarter, impact on sales results.
?Perform other projects as assigned.
Budget Tracking
?Process expense reports and invoices. Generate purchase orders.
?Review vendor proposals
?Maintain budget records and prepare documents required for budget review process for selected accounts.
Reqirements/Skills - ?Bachelor?s degree required.
?6-9 years pharmaceutical sales experience with an additional 3 years of curriculum design and/or sales training experience required.
?Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
?Proven track record or sales performance results.
?Excellent interpersonal/presentation/communication skills. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
?Experienced platform skills. Comfort level in formal presentation setting.
