Trainer (underwriter)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working under limited supervision from management, this position is responsible for the design, development and delivery of training for the CSAA, Insurance Product Management Underwriting Department. The purpose being to provide existing and newly hired employees with the resources and tools necessary to learn and build upon the skills needed to achieve divisional and corporate goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Description of duties are outlined but not limited to by the following

?  Implement and deliver consistent training to employees, both experienced and newly hired, in order to promote superior skill-levels within the workforce.

?  Design and develop curriculum and supporting materials for new-hire training.

?  Design and Develop curriculum and materials for ongoing training and education plans that support both team and individual development.

?  Analyze audits and incorporate results into continued training strategies

?  Track and evaluate progress of employees being trained.

?  Recommend to supervisor and/or manager timeframe for employee?s release from training.

?  Develop/ Coordinate/ Arrange Training schedule and deployment for in house insurance training courses ~ IEA classes.

?  Assist Auditing Team with Audits as needed.

The Position is expected to assist with other duties and /or projects as assigned by management.

 College Degree and/ or equivalent experience. At least 2 years minimum experience as a training delivery professional preferred. Familiarity with adult learning methodologies preferred. Excellent verbal and written skills as well as organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to transfer knowledge to others / demonstrated instructional and mentoring skills. Understanding of insurance guidelines, processes, and procedures a big plus.Fluency in / to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Power Point, Excel). Process improvement, as well as strong conceptual and analytical skills. Some travel required between various CSAA locations (District offices / Contact Centers / Irvine Offices).

PRIMARY LOCATION:

Due to travel needs in the position, primary location may be negotiable between SF main office or in alternative field locations.
