Training Coordinator, 2nd Shift - Roseville, MN
Doherty Career Solutions has partnered with an innovative manufacturing company to search for a 2nd Shift Training Coordinator to work at their Roseville facility.
SUMMARY:
Support the achievement of organizational goals and strategic objectives by focusing on the operations area and providing a variety of training related services to the organization. Primary expectations would include reduction of training time required for new hires, increase of productivity and effectiveness for all employees, and reduction of turnover resulting in poor or inadequate training.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate and execute new hire indoctrination process to include: training in the Simulation Center, first day orientation, trainer/trainee contact, and general processes to assimilate the new hire into the culture in a timely manner.
2. Coordinate the structured on-the-job-training (OJT) certification and testing program for operations Employees, including:
a. Coordination of trainers
b. Partnership with supervisors to ensure effectiveness
c. Tracking of Employee training activities and progress toward certification
d. Coordination of written testing activities
e. Generation of certificates
f. Issuing and evaluating feedback
g. Generation of reports as required
h. Updating of all training data-bases and spreadsheets
3. Partner with Supervisors and others to analyze performance problems and design and implement training solutions using evaluation and instructional design techniques
4. Use instructional design techniques to create training materials, including procedures, manuals, job aids, simulations and work-instructions as required
5. Perform periodic audits of training tools and procedures to ensure use and effectiveness
6. Assist in the pre-hire testing process and evaluation of results
7. Assist with New Employee Orientation and Temp Employee Orientation as required
8. Update Finishing Document Control Stations and ensure there is a linkage between organizational procedures and training requirements
9. Ensure all training materials meet the requirements of the document control system
10. Maintain open communication with Employees in training to ensure their training needs are being met
11. Manage the structured OJT feedback process results to ensure continuous improvement of the training system
12. Manage the creation of training materials for new (or changes to) Technology or Processes as assigned, including:
a. Training objectives and requirements
b. Certification checklists
c. Reading requirements
d. Written testing
e. Training Manuals
13. Other projects as assigned

5. Ability to establish priorities and multi-task.
