Training Coordinator

Are you an accomplished Training Coordinator with a strong track record of developing and delivering training, including Learning Management Systems, in an industrial manufacturing plant?


Our client, a large US petrochemical company with several major operations throughout the country, needs to hire a Training Coordinator for its major Detroit production facility.

In this role, you will

 
Manage all aspects of the plant's training function and act as a performance consultant
Work closely with managers and key staff to assess training needs, formulate plans, and determine best solutions for training program delivery
Develop training policies, plans, and programs for both salaried and hourly employees, with an emphasis on operations, maintenance, and OSHA regulations. 

 

As part of the company's overall performance improvement initiative, you will help evaluate Learning Management Systems (LMS) and assess training program suppliers. You will oversee the LMS implementation and use it to assign, track, schedule, and evaluate the effectiveness of plant training.

We are very interested in individuals with the following background:

 
BS/MS degree in Industrial Education, Adult Education, or Organizational Development
A minimum of 7-10 years experience in training delivery and implementation in an industrial manufacturing plant (chemicals, steel, automotive, power generation, or similar) that includes OSHA regulatory training implementation
Previous experience in the selection and implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) 
Previous experience in Instructional System Design (ISD) methods (based on ADDIE model) for developing new training programs in manufacturing settings 
Outstanding verbal communication and presentation skills
