Training Coordinator / Recruiter

Tensolite, A leading designer and manufacturer of high performance wire and cable is current seeking a Training Coordinator/Recruiter for their St Augustine, Florida location. 

 

SUMMARY

This position will coach/train employees to meet production standards & achieve operational objectives; implement policies & procedures and assist in recruiting of hourly employees.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Maintain accurate training records

 

Participate in Continuous Process Improvement

 

Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.

 

Coordinate New Hire Process and Orientation schedules

 

Monitor and report the effectiveness of training for employees/management

 

Manage recruiting for hourly employees.

 

Participate in local agency and community meetings/functions including Chamber Events and Job Fairs.

 

Participate in needs analysis studies to determine training needs within organization.

 

Confers with management/department trainers to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.

 

Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.

 

Works directly with the HR Manager and Plant Management team to conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, customer service, health and safety practices, refresher training, promotional development, and leadership development.

 

Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.

 Capable of producing detailed, comprehensive yet easy to follow lesson plans. Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Excellent writing and facilitation skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work swing shifts as needed
