Training and Employee Relations Manager

Arkema is a global chemical leader with $5.7 billion in sales worldwide, 90 industrial sites in more than 40 countries, and six research and development centers, comprised of three business segments: Vinyl Products, Industrial Chemicals, and Performance Products.


Actively formulates team skills program necessary to re-establish a self-directed work team culture.
Provides guidance & support to plant staff in the development of technical training, these activites include but are not limited to: Need assessments, Course development, Curriculum development, Assessment & testing.
Monitors training schedule & content
Conducts specialized training of supervisors for coaching, management responsibilities, complaint handling and other personnel issues.
Builds talent base through performance management, development plans, and facilitates succession planning.
Creates an overall talent management strategy and assists in the selection of candidates
Maintains records, statistical reports on recruiting, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions, terminations.
Proactively assess, monitor and address employee questions
Assists with investigations of any violations of EEO laws and may represent the company at hearing and investigations with Corporate Legal guidance.
Consults with Corporate BU HR and Industrial Relation Directors and or Legal Counsel to create plant policies covering work issues and practices.
Directs and facilitates employment activities. Analyzes statistical data and reports on all aspects of employment activity investigates employee complaints and code of conduct
Assists in managing Affirmative Action Plans.
May provide support for benefits administration.


Bachelor?s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in human resources management, industrial relations, or related degree.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience working as a generalist in Human Resources.
Minimum of 5 years experience in OD and training?
Must have HR plant manufacturing experience
Must have non-union facility experience
Master?s degree (M.S.) in Organizational Development or related degree preferred
