U.S. Regional Director, Workforce Development & Organization Effectiveness

VNU, a global information and media company of  40,000 employees with recognized brands including ACNielsen, Nielsen Media Research, Nielsen Entertainment, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, Adweek, ShoWest, etc. is seeking to fill a key position in the Corporate Human Resources Department.

 

The VNU HR organization is engaging in a global roll-out of a new HR Operating Model with global Centers of Excellence developing strategy, policies and programs in their respective areas of expertise.  The U.S. Regional Director for the Workforce Development/Organization Effectiveness Center of Excellence will be responsible for providing consulting to VNU Companies to include:  organization design consulting, leadership development/talent management, performance/productivity improvement, employee engagement,  senior leadership training, and deployment of programs/policies.  This position reports to the SVP of this Center of Excellence who is based in London.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

? Provides input into the development of global WD/OE programs, policies & services (e.g. curricula, development planning/succession planning processes, organization development and change management support)

? Serves as the WD/OE key representative to senior management within the U.S.

? Works with senior management and HR Business Partners in the U.S. to ensure that managers are performing effectively, are being prepared for future progression, and that appropriate management practices/programs are in place focused on the retention and development of  VNU?s key talent

? Provides leadership assessment and development coaching to senior managers and high potentials, and facilitates senior level training programs.

? Develops U.S. WD/OE marketing/communication strategies aligned with global strategies

? Serves on the U.S. Regional Human Resources Council, along with Senior HR Business Partners and U.S. Heads of Staffing, Compensation and Operations, to provide WD/OE subject matter expertise

? Ensures that the WD/OE regional staff sets the standard for ?High Performance Team? effectiveness.

 

Requirements:

 

? College degree in Organization Development; preferably at the Master?s level

? Approximately 7 years in a Organization Development/Change Management/Management Development role

? Meaningful experience in developing and executing a comprehensive leadership development curriculum, talent management & succession planning systems and coaching/developing senior level managers and teams

? Demonstrated strength in executive training design and facilitation, consulting/influencing, management development, coaching, team development, and change management

? Ability to effectively analyze and identify problems, take personal accountability and initiative, resolve interpersonal/inter team conflicts at senior levels

? General business management expertise (e.g. budget management, expense control, establishment of business policies/procedures, etc.)

? Extensive travel within U.S. required for this role.
