VP, HR Compliance

Vice President, Human Resources Compliance
This position facilitates compliance with applicable local, state and federal employment and labor laws.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and executing the Company strategy for HR compliance.
- Directing the activities of HR Compliance Managers and Specialists.
- Keeping abreast of current and pending employment laws and assessing their impact on the organization's employment practices.
- Recommending and reviewing changes to corporate personnel policies, procedures and training programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulation.
- Participating in cross-functional company-wide initiatives and providing expertise in the areas of labor and employment law compliance.
- Hiring, motivating, training and managing performance of staff.
A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related area.
- 7+ years of Human Resources or Legal experience, including labor and employment law compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of labor and employment laws and current trends.
- Outstanding analysis and evaluation skills.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, presentation and research skills.
- Strong organizational skills with flexibility to handle multiple assignments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and HR computer systems (Access, Excel, Word, PeopleSoft, and other related applications).
The ideal candidate may also possess:
- Advanced degree in Business, Human Resources, Law or related area preferred.
