VP/Sr Dir of HR - Manufacturing

Divisional VP or Sr. Dir. of Human Resources - Manufacturing

Must have a degree; prefer an MBA and an HR Certification. Must be an HR Director/VP with experience supporting an Industrial MANUFACTURING company with multiple locations and a large employee base (other industry experience will NOT be considered). Must have experience dealing with more than 3,500 employees that are located in 25+ decentralized manufacturing plant locations. This Divisional VP/Sr. Director of HR will be based at corporate in Texas with a small direct staff of 2 HR Managers, with a dotted line over 30+ Plant HR Directors in the field responsible for 100+ plants in several states and in Mexico. This division has more than 7,000 employees, mostly hourly, non union (so Union Avoidance experience would be a plus, as would Spanish speaking skills). This position reports directly to a Divisional President, and indirectly to a VP of HR at Corporate.

 

A majority of the first year (40-50% of the time) will involve traveling to the 100+ manufacturing plant sites and meeting with the employees and leadership teams. Most of the strategic HR nuts-and-bolts will come from corporate (comp & benefits, etc.), and this person will primarily be responsible for the implementation of these programs in the field. This is a broad based HR generalist role.
