Eplica currently seeks a professional Workers Compensation Specialist to be primarily responsible for coordinating / administering all aspects of local area Workers? Compensation claims, and assuring compliance with OSHA Safety Programs.

 

Areas of Responsibility:

Safety          Coordinate standard outside safety trainings (fire extinguisher, CPR, etc)Safety Awareness Program CoordinationConduct safety tours as requiredEvaluate and approve/disapprove all submitted Safety Tours including communication to branch as to what needs to be correctedAttend outside trainings as appropriateTravel as needed

 

Workers? Compensation       Manage new WC claims including completion of state required forms, timely follow-up with all 5 ?points of contact? (Dr., EE, ER, TPA, ER Client) for the greater Los Angeles and Orange County area.Create and maintain case files, document in work comp files and WCCMS systemMaintain tickler system to monitor future medical rechecks and statusMonitor claims and work with Third Party Administrator to ensure prompt closure of claimsAttend court hearings and depositions as neededCommunicate with the branch employees regularly regarding claim status and reporting processesEnsure that Accident Investigation Reports are completed by appropriate staff members; conduct accident investigations for serious injuriesOther duties as assigned

 

The successful candidate will possess the following:Bachelors Degree 3-5 years of experience in workers compensation administrationExperience handling workers compensation claimsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to communicate effectively with Third Party AdministratorAbility to respond to changing priorities through out the dayAbility to use independent judgment, discretion and decision making authority in all aspects of positionAbility to understand and apply appropriate laws and regulations in all aspects of the positionBilingual in Spanish
