Workers Compensation Analyst

Position DescriptionJob Duties:
SUMMARY: The analyst?s purpose is to provide thorough documentation and record keeping of Worker?s Compensation injuries. The analyst is responsible for the first report of injury, witness statements, medical reports, time keeping records, contact reports and all other documents pertinent to Worker?s Compensation injuries. The consultant will maintain Worker?s Compensation files and correspondence in compliance with state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collect documentation relative to claims, including First Reports, Doctor?s release, medical restrictions, time cards and work records, insurance information, wage statements, and documents related to litigation. ? Participate in accident investigation for our largest claims. ? Monitor claims filing and record keeping. ? Discuss and report to management adverse trends; prepare reports on claims by location. ? Send first report of injury to the insurance carrier. ? Prepare and maintain OSHA logs and summaries. Complete Bureau of Labor Statistics at rear end. ? Help schedule appointments for outside consultants and Loss Control personnel. Communicate and distribute reports of outside consultants. ? Maintain department files on OSHA activities, claims, insurance recommendations, safety policies, correspondence, safety committee minutes, etc. ? Handle phones, mailing faxing and copying. Process invoices. ? Set up travel for Director.

Candidate Requirements:
Some knowledge of Worker?s Compensation laws. ? Excellent oral and written communication skills. ? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. ? Able to work with and design Excel spreadsheets. ? Able to work with Microsoft Word documents. ? Able to keep accurate, accessible files in both paper and electronic form. ? Excellent written and oral communication skills. ? Internet navigation and research skills. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: ? High school diploma, ? Worker?s Compensation experience would be helpful. ? Technical education in computer and Secretarial Skills. ?
