Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by providing leadership, training, consultation and expertise in the area of talent acquisition. Supports strategic staffing goals to attract, develop and retain a high- quality diverse workforce. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results.Communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the work group promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.Consults with stakeholders on training and development implications of potential business decisions.Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.Establishes and refines training plans for designated client groups to meet performance gaps.Manages the design and implementation of a performance evaluation and feedback system to measure the effectiveness of training programs that meet or improve business objectives.Manages, markets, conducts and facilitates the delivery of training programs and processes. Supports others in implementation and ensures consistency, accuracy and quality of training.Oversees performance of gap analysis between current performance and business goals and requirements.Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.Plans and leads business unit/department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.Provides functional expertise and executes functional responsibilities.Provides input to strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results.Provides partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams.Setting goals for work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together.Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company.
Summary of Experience
Delivering training, facilitating groups and making presentations (6 years)General experience in human resources and/or general industry (4 years)Individual and organizational performance consulting (3 years)Leadership experience (2 years)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of supervisory practices and proceduresBasic skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to work in a large collaborative organizationGeneral knowledge of business operationsProject management skills, including measurement, reporting and financial analysisKnowledge and ability to apply process improvement principlesStrong written, verbal and active listening skillsAbility to supervise and provide lead direction for training practices and proceduresAbility to delegate
