We are currently engaged in an exclusive search to locate a Functional SAP Consultant in Birmingham. This person will be hired directly by our client with salary range between 100k - 150k, plus monthly bonuses.
Qualified candidates will have served in a manufacturing setting as an SAP Implementation Consultant.
Modules needed include: FICO, MM, PP, SD
We would also prefer: BW, APO, variant configurations
Manufacturing background required
The consultant will work with companies throughout the state performing SAP implementations. Light travel will be required.

Job Title: Programmer Analyst - SAP DeveloperPrincipal Responsibilities
- Responsible for analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and integration of new and enhanced functionality within the SAP R/3 environment.
- Work with the Business Process Teams and User Community to investigate gaps between business needs and current system functionality, research and recommend suitable alternatives and then utilize SAP toolsets to provide integrated solutions.
- Lead, manage and execute projects within a project management methodology environment.
- Participate in the analysis of program change requests; define tasks and estimate level of effort.
- Monitor and troubleshoot line-of-business applications.
- Responsible for mentoring and knowledge transfer to less experienced staff members.Employment Requirements:
U. S. Citizen (or permanent resident - no H1B)
Required Qualifications:
Good knowledge in SAP development technologies, with experience in the following areas: ABAP report development, ALV Grid and associated functionality, ABAP objects, SAPScript / Smartforms, Enhancements & BADIs, Data transfer using BDC's, Data Dictionary, Classes, Screen Processing, Database Locking.SAP Modules: FI/CO, MM, PP, HR, PR, SD, BWMinimum 2 years of related SAP experience including the completion of at least one SAP implementation. Knowledge of system design procedures and the ability to translate functional business requirements into an application system or process to meet the business needs.Cross-team/user relationships, concise verbal and written communications and general leadership skills. Ability to communicate issues and recommended solutions in a timely manner. Solid understanding of database structures, effective in documenting requirements.Additional Desirable Qualifications:
BS Computer Science or related field
ABAP Certification
Experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment
Experience with Linux (Red Hat Distribution)
Web Development using PHP and MySQL
Lotus Notes Development
