Job Description: Location: McLean, VA BearingPoint Public Services Proposal Management Group is currently searching for Proposal Manager.
The primary role of the Proposal Manager is leadership of the proposal development process, with responsibility for enhancing the winning position of each assigned bid. Proposal Managers directly support Capture and Engagement Managers and provide direction and guidance to the matrixed proposal team. Proposal Managers are accountable for both the effectiveness of the proposal process and the quality of its resulting products. They will provide proposal development tools and direction to proposal teams, and they will supervise staff and contract personnel throughout proposal development and production cycles. Proposal Managers ensure quality and consistency of work products in a high-volume, quick turnaround environment. Proposal management requirements include: planning, organizing, strategy development, scheduling, monitoring compliance, status reporting, and all related tasks necessary to respond effectively to governmental procurements.

Required Experience and Skills:

§ B.A. in English, Journalism, Business, Communications or a related field
§ Minimum 6 year’s experience in the direct management of large, competitive proposals for Federal clients
§ Excellent organizational and writing skills
§ Comprehensive knowledge of the Federal Government evaluation process and lifecycle capture team activities
§ Experience in managing proposals for a wide range of Public Services opportunities
§ Experience coordinating assigned proposals through each stage of the proposal development lifecycle
§ Experience leading or participating in Proposal Reviews (i.e., Pink, Red and/or Gold Team Reviews), and making recommendations for content improvement and/or compliance
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other tools
