Title: 3rd Level Desktop Support Technician

Rate : 25-27 p/h

Duration : 6 months to 1 year  Temp to Hire

Location :Downtown Brooklyn

Requirements

Candidate must have MCSE and A+ certifications must have excellent presentation and communication skills.  

Technical skills a must : Active Directory, Microsft, Altiris Client Management Suite.

Must be a team player and also be the managers right hand man also be able to speak with vendors and in house

staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair hardware problems, set up, configure and test equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and install upgrades and options either in the shop or at customer site. Maintain an up to date knowledge of repair practices, policies, and technical specifications of microcomputer hardware. Complete internal and vendor required documentation related to services, warranty tracking, inventory maintenance. Contact vendors for technical support and parts procurement both electronically and by telephone. Drive vehicle to customer locations in order to perform repairs or pick up and deliver equipment.

 Education and Training:Four years of related work experience, two of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and a high school level education; or two years of related work experience and an Associate degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; experience with Windows XP/2000/NT/9x and/or current Mac OS operating systems, Microsoft Office, and other office productivity applications. Professional Certificates: minimum A+, preferred MCP, MSCDT, MCSA, MCSE.  Any other certifications are also welcomed.

 

 Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated experience with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Window NT. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, and Internet applications including Netscape Communicator and Internet Explorer. High degree of technical aptitude. Excellent problem solving skills. Strong written and oral communications skills. Preferred: Experience or interest in Health Care Industry
