AHLTA/CHCS Trainer

GENERAL SUMMARY: Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel; works under direct supervision; performs additional duties as assigned. PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Accomplish the formal and informal implementation, training, integration, and change management support tasks in support of functional users needing assistance in implementing, utilizing and integrating the AHLTA application and it?s increments into the business process. Duties include: 1. Provide coordination and delivery of weekly AHLTA training schedules. 2. Oversee scheduling of training to ensure that all who require training receive it in a reasonable time frame and in an appropriate environment. 3. Develop sustainment training plans to be utilized at sites once primary IT trainers depart, which may include schedules, strategies to perpetuate training, training materials or plans, and other tasks. 4. Conduct training of students and associate trainers. 5. Relay ongoing reports to government regarding status and effectiveness determined in tasks above. 6. Develop internal and external metrics to monitor (and improve if necessary) the effectiveness of both sustainment training and initial training. 7. Contractor shall maintain current, comprehensive understanding of all new functionalities prior to fielding by the developer of AHLTA and be prepared to teach those functionalities and the optimal way for users to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of those new functionalities in the delivery of healthcare. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: At a minimum have a solid working knowledge of MHS based systems that include a thorough understanding of AHLTA functionality allowing them to function in a lead trainer role. The appropriate levels of education, knowledge, skills, and abilities commensurate with the assigned tasks are essential to this positon. Trainers shall have clinical experience, an understanding of the specific MTF organizational structure, and a working knowledge of medical information systems. Typically requires 0-2 years of directly related training experience; Associate's Degree in a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. TRAVEL: Travel to outlying clinics approximately 15% of the time. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal skills and strict attention to detail. Team player with self-motivation and the abilty to meet tight deadlines. WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is typically performed in an office environment and at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
