Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is a plus.
Experience supporting systems on a Windows 2000 server operating system.
Competency using Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, Access, Visio.
Experience being on-call in a Production support environment.
At least 1 year working in a Production support environment.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills independently.
Experience with UNIX systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Ability to train and learn quickly. Provide 24 x 7 Production on-call rotation support for MQSeries and Websphere MQSeries Integrator on Windows 2000, AIX, and OS/390 systems. Provide 24 x 7 Production on-call rotation support for Websphere Application Server on AIX systems. Assist with maintenance of WMQI application components that have been deployed to a Production environment. Install IBM MQSeries, Candle MQSecure, and Candle Omegamon software on Windows 2000 and AIX operating systems. Configure IBM MQSeries on Windows 2000, AIX, and OS/390 systems. This includes definition of queues, channels, and clusters. Assist with design and configuration of 3rd party monitoring packages to monitor the MQSeries and Websphere Application Server application and system software. Assist with improvement of support documentation as needed. Develop and maintain utility applications to enhance the monitoring of applications.
