APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST NEEDED!!

We are currently looking for a APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST to join our team in MECHANICSVILLE, VA.

 

Job Responsibilities:

CSW Developer experienced in analyzing, designing, developing, testing and deploying client/server distributed applications in a Windows environment. This is a 6 month Applications Support Role that requires the developer to work closely with the core CSW support team and project teams to develop and deliver all aspects of CSW-related projects.

 

Candidate must understand the entire system development lifecycle process.

Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
Provide estimates, create Requirements Analysis and Design (RAD) documents, code and unit test in a Windows client/server environment, support quality assurance activities, and support implementation and software deployment activities
Additional responsibilities include research and analysis of problem tickets and, using system lifecycle processes, implementing of solutions
There will be on-call responsibilities via a rotation plan
Responsibilities will also include new division set ups and division moves

 

Required Skills:
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a distributed client/server environment and have an in-depth knowledge of C, COBOL, and SQLServer, and a working knowledge of a software configuration management tool like Serenas Changeman DS
Candidate must also have strong analytical skills in a complex business environment
The candidate must be comfortable with working in a remote team environment

 

Desired Skills:
 Knowledge of warehousing, supply chain management, inventory management, and radio frequency technology is a plus
Mainframe experience is not required but considered a plus as well

 

Minimum Educational Requirements:
High School Graduate. Some travel for training and division moves will be required
