Job Description
Client Operations professionals are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients.  They design, manage and implement the activities associated with key business functions. The Service Delivery/Operations capability focuses on the attributes or skills essential to providing the necessary services and solutions to the client, the client?s employees or the client?s customers in fulfillment of contractual obligations agreed upon by both parties. 

 

Accenture currently has an Initial Contact Support opportunity available.

 

Initial Contact Support provides first and second level customer support for Host Access customers. Host Access is a custom application built for high volume client customers. The application can reside on AS/400, Windows, Unix and Mainframe operating systems. In addition the application supports both TCP/IP and HTTP communication.

 

The ideal candidate should have a focus around networking (TCP/IP, HTTP), the mainframe or the AS/400 as well as very strong communication skills. The role involves troubleshooting, report generation and proactive monitoring. There is very little development work required in this role. This role is about creatively troubleshooting the client application, we are not looking for operators with experience only re-setting passwords, installing printers and other equivalent script-based activities. This role is primarily for software support. There will be little opportunity for troubleshooting hardware related issues. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years experience, strong verbal professional presence, is a quick learner and looking for a long-term assignment.

 

This role will have responsibility for providing technical support to the client's largest customers via telephone, proactive monitoring of systems, generating reports, running SQL statements and interacting with client personnel.

 

Qualifications

Nice to Have Skills:experience with AS/400 mainframe experience networking/communication skills (ie. TCP/IP, HTTP)
