ATG Web Developer

ATG Web Developer     General Summary: The ATG Web Developer position is a technical position supporting the corporate E-commerce initiatives.  Responsible for working with the company?s divisions and departments to develop and manage its web sites.

Provide advanced level of analytical and technical design and programming skills necessary to define, develop and implement enhancements to existing web sites as well as new web sites. Provide work direction and guidance as Lead Developer for other members of the Application Development staff.

 

Accountabilities:

? Leads in the definition, design, development and implementation of corporate e-commerce initiatives.

? Assists in the development and documentation of functional specifications which define the objectives, business and information flows and requirements of new web sites or enhancements to existing ones.

? Translates functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.

? Codes, compiles and deploys ATG classes, Java Beans, Java servlets and JSP pages.

? Develops new ATG e-commerce web sites.

? Manages and maintains ATG e-commerce web sites.

? Archives files and maintain Perforce version control.

? Works closely with others assigned the tasks of web content development and web data analysis.

? Keeps up to date on ATG and Java web technologies and developments. Stays abreast of software, hardware and communication products and the industry as appropriate.

? Translates management and creative content requirements into visual and architectural design, and implement.

? Trains and assists GUI business users to manage web content.

? Updates and troubleshoots corporate web sites..

 

Competencies:

? Technical skills

? Strong ATG Dynamo coding skills.

? Strong J2EE Java coding skills (write freehand from scratch).

? Expert in JSP, Enterprise Java Beans, Jakarta Ant build scripts, JDBC, XML, and XSLT.

? Expert in ATG and J2EE architecture.

? Write HTML and JSP pages freehand.

? Experience in full life cycle ATG/J2EE solution implementation from conceptualization, requirements, design and specification through development (coding), debugging, integration testing, deployment and follow-up support.

? Microsoft Access.

? Microsoft Project.

? Microsoft Office.

 

Education/Experience:

? One year (minimum) of ATG Dynamo development programming experience.

? Three years (minimum) of J2EE server-side web development programming experience.

? A four-year degree in a technical discipline is desired; however experience may substitute for a degree.
