The Information Services Manager manages Information Services Information Delivery function and serves as a key escalation point to resolve all issues.  He/she has responsibility for managing & developing team members through performance assessment and training of those individuals, utilizing their deep knowledge of operational procedures & policies and management experience.  This role determines what process improvement initiatives will be implemented and oversees the implementation of those efforts.  The Information Services Manager is involved in objective setting for the Information Delivery team, budget development and defines operational policies. This role is accountable for developing and managing key internal/external client relationships across sphere of influence, including situations in which no relationship previously existed.  This individual may identify business development opportunities and communicate them to senior management, and provides education/guidance to senior client or HR Services management, shares knowledge across organizational boundaries and acts as a role model within HR Services.  Has responsibility for managing IT suppliers in the areas of network/telecommunication/desktop/infrastructure utilizing their deep knowledge of operational procedures and policies and management exceptions.  Manages IT/infrastructure budget. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

? Accountable for client satisfaction in area of responsibility, against service level agreement, and ensures achievement of key performance indicators/project milestones.

? Provide direction to the Information Delivery personnel through objective setting and overall performance management in order to meet contract requirements/customer expectations (SLAs).

? Provide guidance in the development of training curriculum for Information Delivery personnel and approves individual training plans.

? Demonstrate strong customer service in all activities, setting the appropriate example.

? Manage escalation process and ensures client satisfaction in issue resolution.

? Motivate team members to support and sustain a positive work environment.

? Develop initial budget recommendations and manages costs to operate within those guidelines.

? Responsible for communication of strategy, initiatives, local plans and performance metrics across own area of responsibility.

? Accountable for performance against financial parameters, and monitors and reports on budgetary aspects within own area.  May have significant input to budget setting/financial proposals and reviews.

? Initiates and promotes continuous improvement programs across sphere of influence.

? Manage and ensure consistent application of human resource processes including career development, salary review, resourcing and performance management within area of responsibility.

? Evaluate direct reports, and provides formal counseling and mentoring to staff.

 

 

Qualifications

 

? Minimum of 5 years work experience with 3 plus years of management/supervisory experience in a fast paced Information Delivery environment.

? 5 + Years of technical aptitude in the leading HRMS/HRIS and Enterprise level Information Services solutions. This includes: Knowledge of Enterprise-wide technical architectures, systems and data integration routines, Demonstrated knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Marts solutions, Proficient in information delivery solutions such as Portal based report delivery, employee, managerial, and executive level data needs in an HR focused environment.5+ years of Customer Relationship Management solutions as they relate to Information Services components such as Self-Service and non-transactional information flow.3+ years managing a team and managing a budget.3 - 5 years previous experience in a HR operations environment.3-5 years experience in change management and process reengineering implementation.3-5 years managing infrastructure function such as network, telecommunications and desktop support.
