Position: Accounting Systems Support and Special Projects Manager

Summary:

Under general supervision of the Treasurer/Controller, this position oversees and coordinates day-to-day computer software, hardware and network operations in relationship to support activities for the General Accounting, Planning and Finance Department.
Monitors and coordinates the workflow and/or other technical support staff engaged in supporting associated activities involved.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Monitors the performance of computerized accounting systems; maintains systems software of application programs and performs corrective actions as prescribed.
-Participates in and/or coordinates the identification and resolution of hardware, software, and network problems as they occur.
-Provides back up for the Insurance, Human Resource and Payroll departments as needed (Data entry, reporting writing, import/export function, etc).
-Coordinates and oversees the development, implementation, modification, and ongoing administration of systems.
-Provides information and training to end users on the usage of new and/or modified equipment and/or software.
-Coordinates the maintenance, installation, and updating of Winstar Time and Attendance System and related Hand Punch Clocks, Ceridian Payroll Systems, Accounts Payable ASI System, Best Fixed Asset System, Platinum Premier General Ledger System, FRx Reporting System, FRx Forecaster System, and 1099 Misc. Reporting System.
-Maintain database for record retention.
-Implements, maintains, monitors, controls, Sales and Use Tax Multi- State Compliance software.
-Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned (Special Projects).

Qualifications:

-Experience using PC based Accounting Systems.
-Proficient in the use of Excel, Word.
-Good mathematical skills.
-Business Degree.
-Sequel Experience
-Crystal Reports
