Advertising Planner / Project Manager

OVERVIEW:

For this position, with a world-renowned, Redmond-based software company, you will be charged with planning, launching, and managing a contextual advertising business, with a focus on satisfying the needs of our advertisers.

 

Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the pilot and launch of the program, including taking ownership of the pilot plan, advertiser ramp plan, revenue forecasts, KPI?s, pilot exit criteria, and monitoring progress of engineering, service, and sales and marketing teams against rollout plans
Providing overall guidance on product requirements and business needs as questions arise from management, engineering, service, and other teams to ensure efficient and effective product launches
Providing oversight to the advertiser invitation process
Tracking internal pilot performance metrics
Working with sales, account management, and advertisers to monitor satisfaction with the pilot program
Managing advertiser experience listening pre- and post-pilot, and post-launch (utilizing a 3rd party vendor)
Identifying strengths and weaknesses in the product and service
Developing product requirements documents
Recommending improvements to product and service
Working with engineering and service organizations to implement improvements, product capabilities, and workflows for future versions
Reviewing engineering and service specifications, and ensuring changes conform to the product requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years related work experience
Solid project management skills, including extensive experience driving projects through the complete project lifecycle, as well as managing projects involving cross-functional teams
In-depth knowledge of advertising technologies and competitive landscape, especially advertiser-side, with focus a on contextual and search advertising campaigns
Understanding of ad performance, click-thru, and CPM
Excellent analytical and communication skills (including executive communications)
Keen attention to detail
Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel (including pivot tables)
Skills with SQL a plus
MBA or relevant technical degree preferred
