This role requires best practices QA knowledge along with current software skills.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 Actively participate in project-level verification activities (code reviews, inspections, and walkthroughs) to become familiar with the project requirements, design, etc.Create Software Quality Assurance Plans for each product releaseCoordinates and contributes to cross-organizational testing and testing design activitiesUnderstands and can facilitate a variety of testing activities including functional, regression, load,  stress and capacity testingDesigns and drives the implementation of solutions covering a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough and practical, providing breakthrough results across the projectHas the ability to anticipate and recognize system-wide issues and design accordinglyCreate manual and automated tests by working with business and development resourcesUtilize and augment current discrepancy tracking tools throughout the SDLC in order to enable the organization to develop better quality products and efficient/effective testing infrastructures/methodologiesSupervise, review and execute software test procedures manually or using automated test toolsPrepare Validation Reports and participate in product release processesReview Quality Assurance Documentation at each phase of quality assurancePerform all tasks necessary to produce quality software product and follow Corporate Software Development Life CycleExperienced understanding of all aspects of the software engieering process and familiarity with alternative approaches to itThoroughly understands engineering principles and techniques related to project activitiesUnderstanding of multiple software development processesWorks with software engineers to engineer quality and testability into the code and drive and implement other software process deliverablesCollaborates effectively with peer QA Engineers, Development, Business, Operations, and Project Management teams to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas. Job Requirements:

 Must possesses and be able to apply advanced knowledge of quality assurance techniques in the design and execution of QA activitiesVery strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skillsStrong attention to detailHands-on proficiency with word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), Visio, Microsoft AccessClear and thorough understanding of Software Development Life CycleExcellent knowledge of, SQL, Teradata (or other large scale DB system), PERL or other scripting language, and relational database structuresMust have strong SQL query writing and analysis abilities, as well as data movement, and integrated data testing experienceA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS. An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered
