VNUS Medical Technologies is redefining the treatment of venous disease and varicose veins for millions of patients worldwide.  We are a fast paced, high-tech medical device company looking for the right person to help our customers grow their practices.

 

The Analyst ? Business Intelligence will have responsibility to: 

a. Design, plan and manage the implementation and maintenance of global, enterprise BI (Business Intelligence) applications.

b. Works directly with management and users to analyze, specify, and design enterprise reporting, analytical, and performance management systems.

 

Overall Responsibilities

 Program and project management for all BI system implementations and enhancementsCoordinates IT, 3rd party, and other department?s resources to complete BI system implementationsEncourages and trains for the effective use of BI systems to meet business objectiveManages and coordinates enterprise master data model including feedback for operational data hygiene and consistencyEstablishes, documents, and enforces standards, processes, and procedures for the effective implementation and use of systemsCreates and supports development, test, and production data warehousing environments

Desired Qualifications and Experience

 No medical conditions preventing routine use of a computer or access to a controlled environment roomB.S. / M.S in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent in work experience5 ? 7 years experience minimumData warehousing, reporting, and OLAP toolset experience (especially with Business Object products)ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) tool exper9ience Experience developing reporting and analytical applications for the Sales/Marketing/Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Executive Dashboards, and performance ManagementEnterprise computer software package experience (ERP, CRM, and other systems)Extensive Relational Database experience including SQL programming and query optimizationMedical Device Manufacturing or Life Sciences experience helpfulAbility and desire to learn quickly and share knowledgeExcellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skillsKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System StandardsKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System Standards.
