Analyst, Information Systems

POSITION PROFILE This position is often a contributing member of a project or support team. Objectives include support,
analysis or planning. Responsibilities usually involve a few applications or subject areas. Alternatively,
responsibilities may focus around a complex application or subject area.  This position will focus on Service Contracts/Meters/Billing in Oracle.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides technical support and resolves business application technical issues.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses complex application problems.
Analyzes business problems and designs solutions involving business process and applications.
Researches and determines functional requirements for complex problems.
Develops functional, technical designs and business processes for complex problems; designs and
executes functional tests.
Researches and designs user interfaces & navigation; prepares prototypes for design alternatives;
designs and executes usability tests.
Provides consultation to project stakeholders on design alternatives.
Prepares change requests; reviews change requests.
Designs performance tests.
Maintains subject matter expertise in one or more areas and applies this knowledge through
participation in project teams.
Keeps abreast of the latest tools and techniques relating to area of expertise.
Participates in work sessions as a subject matter expert.
Performs quality checks on completed tasks and deliverables.
Assesses effort required for project tasks.
Facilitates meetings; prepares meeting minutes.
Assists with testing and debugging.
Manages on-going relationships with third party product and service providers.
Coordinates project activities to achieve project milestones and objectives.
Ensures that projects and/or tasks remain on target; ensures expectations are set and modified as
necessary.
Formulates and executes strategies to remove delays and project obstacles.
Tracks and report progress against a project schedule.
Tracks and reports project issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Requires 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in directly related area.
Requires adequate technical skill set to match particular job requirements for complex assignments
as well as skills in multiple applications and tools.
