Analyst Programmer Consultant

Description:
The position reports to the Information Protection Department of Corporate Security Services. Responsibilities will primarily focus on the technical assessment of the information assets of the corporation to ensure adherence to security best practices. Techniques used include vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and network discovery and mapping. Scripting and other techniques are used to manipulate and report on large amounts of data.

Additional responsibilities include partnering with other departments to insure conformity with National City's Security policies. The candidate will have the opportunity to cross train in other Information Protection activities.

The ideal candidate should have several years of experience in the security arena, spanning multiple security domains. Some experience with scripting or programming is required. Additional requirements include a demonstrated ability to identify relevant security risks in a business process and propose mitigation controls to address those risks. The candidate must be able to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences and be able to manage conflict in a positive, professional manner. Banking and financial services background is preferred. SANS or CISSP certification is preferred.
