Application Analyst - Lead/Senior

Hanover is seeking an Application Analyst - Lead/Senior for our Houston, TX location. This position will be responsible for the following:Participate in projects and initiatives as a project resource for Oracle Enterprise Asset Management, and Field Service modulesResolve and track escalated support callsDevelop business requirements and processes in support of all implementationsDesign appropriate system solutions, translate business requirements into systemDevelop functional designs in support of global 11i implementation using SDLC/AIM methodologySetup or configure business applications to support business requirements. Develop and executive system test plansDevelop and execute plans for deploying the applications into productionIdentify and resolve project issues in furtherance of the project execution processOversee and facilitate the work of others (Developers and other analysts) in support of the project execution processTrain entry-level Application AnalystsProvide guidance and support the users in their efforts to become proficient in the use of the applicationsTroubleshoot issues in the use and functioning of the applicationsWork with technical developers and database administrators to correct issues in the functioning of the applicationsEvaluate user proficiency and define training requirements to raise the level of proficiency of the usersTrain users on the use of the business applications. Perform other duties as directed by management

Education and Certification:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4-6 years experience in related field desired

Specific Background/ Experience:
Required: Two years of Oracle application experience, At least one year of field support experienceBasic Oracle troubleshooting skillsBasic PC skillsProficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Organization and documentation skillsProficient with multi-line phone and voicemail

Desired: Oracle Enterprise Asset Management experienceWorking knowledge of Oracle Inventory, Purchasing, Cost Management and/or Work In Progress, SQL writing skills, knowledge of Oracle DiscovererExperience with organizing, writing, and controlling process flow, navigation, and procedure documentsExperience with providing instruction and training of various Oracle eBusiness Suite applications

Special Requirements/ Additional Comments:Must be able to work under pressureMust be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the departmentA valid Passport desired
