Application Architect (Developer)
Summary : The Enterprise Architect will work closely with various divisional and corporate groups to ensure scalable enterprise level products are designed to meet our customer and company requirements. Position will assist with ongoing research, definition, and setting standards for enterprise architecture. This is a full time exempt, salaried position.

Responsibilities:
Provide architectural assessment and guidance to system implementation plans.
Provide thoughtful leadership through creation of innovative strategies, methods and approaches to the use of information technology and information management techniques.
Serve as technical guide and mentor to the engineering teams, product marketing and management.
Design strategic and architectural standard to support, design and implement divisional products and projects.
Author functional and design specifications, implement architectural prototypes and proof of concepts and use other appropriate techniques to achieve product definition and design goals.
Make recommendations for platform and software selection and identify risks across projects as necessary.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with primary COTS vendors and with key external and internal customers.
Work on advanced R&D (scientific) projects with key COTS vendors and academic alliances.
Requirements:
College degree in computer science preferred and a minimum of 5 -8 years related experience.
Experience architect and designing browser-based enterprise applications.
Experience with architecting J2EE and .NET application components.
Consistent display of professional conduct.
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Excellent problem solving and detailed oriented skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks.
Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
