Job Description

 

Under broad direction, act as a technical or project lead.  Leads the design, development and implementation of solutions to meet the clients needs (Technical Lead).  Oversees project teams and their day-to-day activities (Project Lead).  Applies strong business skills and methodologies to interpret data and deliver solutions to clients.  Exhibits a deep understanding of a service line and a broad knowledge of all service offerings within a practice area.  Develops and delivers informal presentations to project team and client management.  Identifies and assists with the development of service offerings.  Participates in business development activities by scoping potential engagements and preparing proposals.  May identify opportunities for additional business.  Applies knowledge of and experience in multiple specializations. 

 

Essential Functions

 Ability to apply consulting methodology to collect and analyze data.  Ability to lead, plan, schedule and manage medium-to-high risk engagements or functional area of major engagements using established processes.  Ability to interpret data and develop recommendations. Ability to communicate effectively with clients.  Ability to identify opportunities and support business studies with proposal teams for additional business.  Ability to manage projects within scope of responsibility.

 

Requirements

 

The ideal candidate possesses 7+ years of experience in the Consulting and Technology industry with 2-3 years of ?hands on? experience in the following language skills:

 Java, J2EE, Java Beans, JavaScript, JSP, EJB, Java Servlets, JUnit or equivalent testing framework, UML (Unified Modeling Language), System Oriented Architecture (SOA), Unix, SQL, OO Design/Application/Requirements, Object Modeling, Data Modeling,  STRUTS Framework knowledge/experience, experience in CMMI Process Model (experience using a structured development environment).

 

Experience in the following areas is desirable, but not mandatory:

 BEA WebLogic, Siebel, EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), LDAP, SeeBeyond, Mobility Knowledge/Products/Tools (Wireless Application Protocol, Wireless Markup Language, 802.11g, Bluetooth), SDP Process Knowledge.

 

Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related computer field or equivalent work experience is required.  

Candidate must demonstrate strong client facing skills and leadership ability.

 

Candidate must be willing to travel at least 25% overnight outside of the SE Michigan area, if needed.

Candidate must be willing to work at any location is SE Michigan. (Detroit, Troy, Pontiac, Southfield, etc.)
