Application Developer

We are looking for an eLearning Application Developer on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments.  This position is based in Westlake, TX. 

 

Summary

The eLearning Developer will work within the Service Delivery University (SDU) to support clients and associates. This person has responsibility for utilizing Instructional Design principles to design and develop effective training solutions for FESCo SDU clients.  They will work with SDU’s suite of authoring tools (Lectora, Dreamweaver w/ Coursebuilder, Flash, Captivate, SoftSim, Evolution, and Perception), and Learning Management System to design, develop, deliver and track eLearning training solutions.

 

The eLearning Developer will need to remain current with the eLearning industry, by researching/learning new authoring tools, environments, media, and techniques.  They must be quality driven and have an attention to detail in order to assist the team in providing high quality, cutting-edge learning solutions.

 



 

* 1 – 5 years experience designing, developing, and implementing CBT / WBT learning solutions utilizing eLearning authoring tools. Direct experience with SDU’s suite of authoring tools is preferred. (SDU’s suite of authoring tools includes Lectora, Dreamweaver w/ Coursebuilder, Flash, Captivate, SoftSim, Evolution, and Perception). Comparable authoring tool experience will be considered.

* Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:  Graphic art, digital audio recording/editing, digital video recording/editing, development of software simulations, demonstrations, or electronic performance support.

* Effective project management skills; must be able to effectively manage simultaneous project developments for multiple client contacts and project managers.

* Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).

* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to the authoring and delivery of eLearning training solutions.

* In-depth knowledge of Learning Management Systems, development processes, media strategies, and effectiveness assessment methods. 

* Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or educational technology preferred

* Experience in financial services industry preferred
