Application Developer - ERP

This is a an effort to implement, as feasible under the time and budget allowed, Business Processes on the current legacy Trident landscape in advance of the roll-in of GSAP 2.0 in 2008. This project will also provide feedback and recommend design changes to GSAP 2.0. All work must be complete (including warranty periods) before 4Q2007.

Specifically Demand Planning adjustments include:Pro rata for dis-aggregation, a simple update to current business process enabled by IT configuration change that allows DP to choose methodology. Work will stay with DP planners in Houston. Sales BOM SNP out to DPException based Alert Management in DPPromotion planning

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

SAP APO Demand Planning configurer to work with the Demand Planning Business Analyst to design changes to the APO DP modules in Trident that enable the roll-out of Streamline business processes in the US prior to GSAP?s go-live in 2008.

? Skill and knowledge in architecting and building APO DP changes into an existing APO landscape.
? Creating and Documenting Key Design Decisions as well as Verifiable Requirements
? Estimating effort and duration of tasks in the DP area.
? Defining Master Code and Data Cleansing Requirements
? Creating logical and physical design documents for APO DP, APO ABAP and R/3 CIF interaction for DP.
? Feed BW changes to the project?s Information Mgmt team.
? Defining and updating existing APO Test Plan Requirements?
. Accountable for meeting estimates on effort and duration as agreed with the IT leads.
? Input to the Issues, Risks, Actions and Change Control processes for the project. Resolving those items that have been assigned to them.
? Responsible for helping the business leads during the execution of the project (some of which have near term implementation dates).
? Adhere to project delivery standards as agreed with the IT leads.
? Satisfy all weekly/monthly progress updates standards for the project.
? Input to a detail deployment plan that outlines the steps to activate the approved changes in production.
? Assist the business change management lead in preparing communications for distribution to the user community on changes in the APO operations.

Skills and Skill Levels:

Technical Skills and Experience:

- Strong SAP APO DP design and configuration skills, include ABAP and BW design changes
- Have the flexibility and adaptability to respond to changes rapidly.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to communicate effectively with business leaders
- Experience making changes to a live APO instance.
- Demonstrated ability to view project activities from a Business perspective
- Experience with projects with complex governance structures and project team structures (e.g., global, cross-functional teams, interdependencies with other projects, limited direct authority)

Soft Skills and Experience:

- Planning
- Effective communicator including presentations
- Good troubleshooter
- Ability to work well with others, team player
- Able to negotiate with Legacy ERP Application Support and Basis teams. This effort will require interfaces to the legacy ERP systems and modifications to the planning processes to use the information coming from APO. Ways of working will need to be agreed with the support organisation on how to execute and deliver necessary system changes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong scope management skills required
