Application Developer - Lead

The Application Development Lead will be leading a team of technical developers to cater to the support of the technical infrastructure within Retail Deposit Risk Operations (DRO). This includes database support, production support for jobs and applications and any new development that is required. Duties include:

 

? Support existing production jobs and applications within DRO

? Lead Technical staff as well as be hands-on support. Provide appropriate technical direction

? Prioritize requests to strike a balance between production support, New development and ad-hoc requests

? Developing, designing and reporting information using SQL, VB, MS Access and MS EXCEL

? Automation of the Operational reporting using the MS SQL server, Frontpage, Monarch, HTML, ASP and DTS packages.

?   Oversees the creation and review of all new and existing data warehouse databases and software reports

? Translates data from a variety of sources into useful conclusions

 



 

? Knowledge of Software development life cycle and basic Project Management skills

? Trouble shooting technical errors in connectivity, databases and applications with creativity and flexibility

? Perform detail-oriented work, sometimes under very tight timeframes, without compromising accuracy

? Ability to understand end-user needs and technical issues

? Ability to create a requirements document by working with end-users and to be able to take a given set of requirements from design to implementation

? Must be able to design accurate packages and technical reports in a manner that is understood by the end user.

? Highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently and is able to lead and motivate the team

? Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

? Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

? 3-4 years of experience as a Lead in the required field.

? BS in MIS/CS preferred.

 

? Advanced aptitude with MS Access, Excel, Visual Basic, Word, SQL, Frontpage, ODBC and Network connectivity

? Experience with Crystal Report writer software

? Windows XP

 

? Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment

? Must be well organized and able to function effectively under stress

? Be able to communicate with Operational Units as well as technical Units

? Good influencing skills to help with prioritization and striking a good balance between production support and new development needs

? Extended periods of time spent at the PC
