Application Development Director

This position will be responsible for managing a team of Data Warehouse & Reporting professionals responsible for the maintenance, support, and development of the Education Finance Data Warehouse. The Director will manage the implementation of the data warehouse ETL and BI architectures and with the Chief Data Architect, oversee the build-out of the relational and dimensional models that provide for clear and insightful reports, analysis, and recommendations to business decision-makers.

 

This position will also lead the team in the identification of business requirements, data conversion and reporting activities and synthesize those requirements into specific system specifications, and will lead in the definition of standards in the areas of data warehousing, data conversion, and reporting. Other responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and managing detailed work plans to deliver data warehousing, data conversion, and reporting solutions.


Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 8 years experience in IT infrastructure and operations design, deployment, and management positions, with at least 6 years in a senior level position with responsibility for platform development
Should have experience developing frameworks for ETL and Business Intelligence in a Unix/Oracle environment
Possess excellent conceptual, analytical, and quantitative skills
Knowledge of data warehousing architectural approaches is required
