Application Engineering Team Lead - Footwear Product Creation IT

 As one of our Application Engineering Team Leads for Footwear Product Creation IT (PCIT), you’ll contribute to shaping our Product Data Management (PDM) tool. You'll participate with other key individuals to interpret the requirements to design and model a system that will aid our Footwear Product Creation business to be more effective. You’ll be integral in forming the Java programming staff, devising the development approach within the RUP and XP methodologies, gathering estimates, creating technical plans, organizing iterations from a technical perspective and working with your project manager to deliver the best application in a reasonable time. You'll also provide mentoring and coaching to the other IT staff members. In addition, you’ll have opportunities to experience leadership and to leverage your design experience and coding expertise through the programming staff. 



Requirements for the position include:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
6 years' professional IT or related experience
2 years' additional relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
1 year of experience in a technical lead role
Experience estimating work, planning, organization and implementation experience for complex Java software projects
3 years' experience developing object-oriented, web-based business applications in a Java/J2EE, 3-tier environment
Strong Rational Unified Process (RUP), XP or other iterative methodology knowledge
Familiarity with object modeling patterns and implementation (i.e. UML)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience designing, customizing and implementing Product Data Management (PDM) applications, specifically WindChill from PTC would be helpful 
Experience with ClearCase, Eclipse, junit, XML, SOAP, Web Services, relational databases and SQL is preferred
