About the Opportunity

Information Technology: Application Manager(at Corporate Headquarters, located in Northern NJ)  Selective Insurance is seeking an IT professional to manage and maintain existing corporate systems applications, including corporate legal systems (contract administration, matter management, records management); staff counsel systems (matter management); information technology systems (time tracking, help desk, asset management) and automated form and documentation systems. This is position which reports to our Corporate located in Northern NJ. Some essential duties of this position are as follows:Establishes and maintains productive customer relationships, including annual plan development and resource allocation Supports existing and new applications within the corporate systems environment Executes the operational processes and procedures required to provide a stable corporate systems environment at established service levels Creates and monitors project definition and scope, work plans and estimates, resources, and project budgets from conception through post-production support Defines and delivers appropriate, quality solutions to meet business requirements in a timely fashion and within budget Energizes and motivates team members; acts as a mentor to others in the planning, design and implementation of corporate systems solutions Participates in business requirements definition; works with business partners to develop business cases on key corporate systems projects Maintains up-to-date knowledge of corporate systems technology and its applicability to customer requirements; participates in the selection of new technology for solving key business problems Communicates project progress to team and management through both written and oral communication channels Resolves conflicts and/or issues in a timely manner through appropriate channels

 

To be successful in this position the following qualifications are required:College degree (computer science, MIS, preferred)3+ years of application management experience with both third-party vendor and internally developed applications 3+ years of experience in customer relationship management as part of an information technology management position Comprehension of key business concepts for reporting and analysis Excellent verbal and written communication skills Project management experience and formal training

 

Also preferred are development experience with several of the following: PMP certification Experience with property casualty insurance
