Application / Product Architect

Our client needs an innovative Senior Technical Lead / Application Architect to drive definition, design and technology platform of cutting-edge enterprise applications. This individual will leverage software development expertise, broad technical knowledge and relevant past experience to serve as a technical domain expert for a family of device-centric web applications. They will work directly with product management, customers, and development to shape solutions and product direction which addresses a vast market need. They will also architect web applications for performance and quality while ensuring solution is able to grow and or change based on technology and business trends. Responsibilities also include: Demonstrate technical enthusiasm; follow relevant technology trends; serve as a technical domain expert for a family of device-centric web applications. Collaborate with product management to shape product definition and requirements for successful enterprise web applications. Drive concept elaboration and rapid prototyping; architect and code solutions. Drive solution design; create and review functional and design specifications. Work with engineering to ensure feasibility of solutions. Participate in technology selection for application development (frameworks, business intelligence tools, etc.). Serve as team member for application development projects; address technical challenges which may arise during projects.

Technology-specific expertise is required in the following: .NET; Java/J2EE; database design / SQL Server and Oracle; markup languages (HTML, XML), etc. Individuals must have the ability and strong desire to work in conceptual phase of development for web applications. Experience with web technologies and emerging trends is required, as is experience with agile methods and ability to leverage this for fast-turnaround projects. Technical project management experience is a major plus.
