Application Support Analyst III

JOB SUMMARY:

The Application Support Analyst III is responsible for providing 24/7 support for key applications and 3rd level support to Tier II technicians following established SOP policies and procedures. Works to develop and implement operational initiatives for long-term stability of production systems. The Support Analyst will provide operational insight by reviewing requirements and design specifications to ensure they are in accordance with change management mandates. The Analyst will also validate new systems by assisting in testing and implementation and ensuring documentation is adequate for introduction to the production environment. The Support Analyst works closely with the NOCHD on knowledge transfer, training and mentoring.



 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide 24/7 on call Tier III applications supportMaintain production and test application environmentsProvide technical assistance and support for Enterprise systems.Assist in research/testing/implementation of Monitoring toolsAssist management with development and maintenance of NOC proceduresProvide mentoring to Tier II Operations staffCommunicate status of issues with responsible parties and NOC Management in writing and verbally.Maintain system documentationMaintain relationships with vendors and business unitsContribute to a positive and cohesive team.Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5 years of computer service experience in a fast paced business environmentCertifications (A+, MCP) RequiredRetail/POS Experience preferred but not required.Ability to troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft Operating Systems, overall network performance/connectivity and scheduled system tasks.Intermediate network topology and connectivity understanding.Excellent Working Knowledge of Microsoft Business Applications (Outlook/Exchange, Office)Familiarity with Enterprise Monitoring tools (NetIQ, Openview, etc) preferred but not required.Familiarity with Job Scheduling (Opalis, Control-M) software preferred but not required.Ability to work in a team environment as well as an individual contributor.Excellent customer service skills.Strong communications skills (verbal, written and presentation).Detail oriented and able to create Technical Documentation.
