Conseco has the opening for the Application Systems Developer Position

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a key member of the Distribution Technology team, assist with all phases of the Software Development lifecycle (requirements gathering/definition, design, development, and deployment)
Create technical design specifications, develop application code, assist in data modeling and database design and create and execute test cases & scenarios for Distribution Technology solutions.
Provide on-going monitoring and support for existing systems

Requirements:

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years full lifecycle development experience in multiple environments. (Unix, Windows)
3+ years in Java
3+ years of HTML/DHTML, CSS, XSLT
2+ years of SQL-Plus and PL-SQL
1+ years Oracle
Experience with Hibernate, Spring, JDBC, EJB, Web Services preferred
Experience with Internet Portal Technologies preferred
Experience with Mainframe systems (CICS) preferred
Experience with MS SQL/Server &/or Oracle preferred
Related experience in the insurance and/or financial services industries preferred
Excellent communication skills.
Good documentation skills
B.S. in information sciences or a related field
Self-starter that is also an excellent team player
