The Enterprise Solutions Business Unit currently has an opening for an Application and Web Programmer. Job Description: Software and Applications Support will be performed in the context of a mission-critical environment utilizing a complex multi-platform environment consisting of file servers, PCs, and related peripherals operating through Windows and UNIX. Providing systems analysis, evaluation, design, integrative programming, documentation and implementation of programs that are administrative or business oriented in nature and in support of the USACE standard legacy systems. Program development in a Windows environment, especially focusing development for Web-based applications. Analyses of the functional requirements in order to develop and design programs. Creating all necessary programs, testing and debugging. Coordinating program functionality with the Government POC and implement programming for optimum usage. Designing and preparing the detailed program documentation and end-user documentation, reports, charts, graphs and related documentation. Preparing and presenting presentations and briefings as required by CR. Demonstrating to and instructing end-users on new programs, updates, changes, etc. Providing technical support to users on system and/or software access, program troubleshooting and other software related activities. Documentation for all changes and actions made by the contractor(s) in accordance to standards defined by the CR.

Education: Minimum Associates in Web Applications Development or equivalent technical degree.

Required Skills: Candidates must have at least 3 years of progressive experience designing and developing Web applications for web environments. Candidate must have done object-oriented programming and must be familiar with the various design patterns and methodologies. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of web based application development using a .NET platform against Microsoft SQL Server databases. Familiarity with web application framework and protocols such as HTTP and TCP is required. Candidates should be well versed in the use of .NET components, C#, VB.NET, XML, XSD and JavaScript to customize websites. Candidates must have an understanding of IIS server configuration, SQL software such as Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, Visual Studio.NET. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of the software development life cycle and have strong customer relation skills including experience in writing technical documentation for delivery to the customer. U.S. Citizenship is required. Position requires that candidate obtain successful background check in order to access privacy information.
