Applications Analyst II

Applications Analyst II focuses on work assignments for implementing and supporting computer application systems. Performs as a business analyst to determine business requirements and user needs for developing solutions. Designs or customizes software for optimizing operational efficiency and improving business processes, working individually or as part of a team on small scale projects. Supports all users of application systems, timely implementation of and ongoing maintenance of applications, and provides the opportunity for enhanced user productivity.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field or two year technical degree. Equivalent combination of experience and education.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
2-5 years of experience as programmer/analyst and/or implementation; basic project management skills. Required: Experience with Crystal Reports.

 

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
1. REQUIRED: Intermediate to advanced experience with: CRYSTAL REPORTS, SQL and SQL queries.Good analytical and logic skills.

2. Has knowledge of commonly used programming concepts, practices and procedures within the Information Technology field.

3. Must be able to resolve problems of moderate to advanced complexity using good analytical skills.

4. Demonstrate proficiency in supported computer systems and business processes.

5. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate ability to lead small to medium scale projects.
