 Description

GENCO has an immediate opening for an Applications Analyst with our Supply Chain Management division in Green Bay, WI. The Applications Analyst is responsible for enhancing and supporting our supply chain systems including our Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
The Applications Analyst is responsible for:Analyzing and recommending innovative improvements to existing systems, procedures, and issues impacting customers/carriers, and focusing efforts on eliminating the root causes of recurring issues.
Designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining internal software systems.
Developing and maintaining software to support all logistics services.
Developing technical and user documentation.
Training new users on internal software systems.
Explaining and training current users on any enhancements added to the systems.
Keeping current with industry trends and making enhancements to systems as necessary.
Traveling to local customer locations to gather or provide information, to do analysis, and to resolve issues. (Travel < 10%)




 Required Skills


The successful candidate will have:A bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
One to five years related experience.
Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
Eagerness to learn new technologies.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with Access, VBA, Microsoft .Net products, SQL Server, Oracle.
Experience supporting 3rd party software packages.
Logistics/transportation knowledge is a plus
