Applications Development Specialist (132844-570)

Description

This position will be responsible for the design, development and problem resolution of custom applications and ad hoc reporting in a Point of Sale (POS), Retail Financial, Retail Operational, and Oracle database environment.

The position will be located in Salt Lake City, Utah

*Gather requirements for development tasks

*Develop design approach for assigned tasks

*Program and implement design approach

*Provide technical and end-user documentation for design

*Coordinate integration of solution with third-party software vendors

*Produce ad hoc reports as requested by end users

 Required Skills

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Development experience with the following tools (2+ years):
?SQL and PL/SQL
?Oracle Developer Suite
oOracle Forms
oOracle Reports
oDiscoverer Reports (Desktop and Administrator)
?TOAD for Oracle
?Visual Basic .Net
?Crystal Reports
Familiarity with the following applications:
?Microsoft Project
?Microsoft Excel
?Microsoft Word
?Microsoft Visio
?FTP
?Telnet
?VNC
Familiarity with the following database environments:
