Applications System Analyst

Located near the Chicago, Illinois area, this well established leading manufacturer has an excellent opportunity for an Applications System Analyst.

 

Description:
Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.

Responsibilities:

?  At least 2 years of IT experience

?  Experience implementing IT systems utilizing Project Management, Technical Analysis or Business Analysis processes.

?  Familiar with manufacturing shop floor technologies / platforms (Java, C++, UNIX, MS/Window, MS/SQL Server, OPC, J2EE, JSF, ADO, RMI, CVS, ANT, Eclipse, etc.).

?  High degree of customer consciousness

?  Excellent planning and organizational skills

?  Effective communication skills

?  Knowledge of Quality and SPC Systems

?  Experience integrating data acquisition devices and control systems, such as PLC?s, Gages, CMMs, serial devices, with IT shop floor applications

?  Experience supporting shop floor applications

?  Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

?  Leadership skills and experience

?  Knowledge/experience of SCADA systems

Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or at least 6 years IT experience
