Applications Technologist

Kforce is currently recruiting for an Applications Technologist. Candidates who are both qualified and interested are encouraged to apply today.

You will need demonstrated ability for successful requirements gathering and systems analysis over a 10+ year career to qualify for this position. Demonstrated ability to decompose application functionality and analyze/design/develop for reusability is also required. You must have run a successful project to deploy a complex corporate web service and have experience with object-oriented development and methodologies. Experience with database design methodologies is required, as is exceptional knowledge of SOA technologies including: XML, WSDL, WS Security, BPL, and messaging (JMS, MQ, etc.). Knowledge of Sun JES Suite and MS .NET are a plus. Background in IP networking, Unix, or Microsoft server platforms is a plus. Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) (ESB, BPM, WSM, etc.) is required. You must have strong knowledge of Web application development environments/Java development (application servers, J2EE, J2SE, .NET). Knowledge of Web-based security PKI, firewalls, SSL, and demonstrated project management skills are needed. Requirements gathering and Use Case development skills are also needed. You must have the ability to present information to executives, assign and delegate tasks, and demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and on budget. The ideal candidate is also comfortable with meeting facilitation and able to make recommendations within jurisdiction of the activity.
